I like to offer a relaxed, home from home experience for your child. It is important that they are able to feel secure and happy and be confident in themselves. I believe that this is crucial to enable children to learn and develop to their potential in all the different areas of their life. The activities I provide are very varied giving everyone a chance to develop a range of skills and have a lot of fun along the way. There are times of structured play and times for them to create their own games or spend some quiet time with a book. The toys that I have available include baby toys, a large range of books supplemented by library books, kitchen, lego, happyland, dolls, cars, train set, dressing up, bricks, doctors kit, zoo, board games, dvds, garden toys etc.
I ask that you provide lunch and snacks for your children. This way you will know exactly what they have eaten and it is also another way of keeping continuity for them. .
I like to maintain some structure and familiarity for children throughout the day and week so they are able to feel more secure. Mornings involve drop off for my own children at school and possibly preschool, depending on whom I am caring for, followed by an activity like a toddler group, park, woods, library or soft play. There is then potentially a preschool pick up before lunch time with time for naps if required. The afternoons are often more relaxed with structured activities and free play at home before any school children are picked up. This will obviously vary a bit depending on the children I am caring for and their specific requirements, particularly concerning naps.
I am able to do a drop off at Woodley Baptist Church Preschool and Busy Bees Nursery. If you want another preschool then please contact me to discuss as I will try to accommodate.
